ABOUT SHEDRAWS

SheDraws is a blog about inspiration, designing and creating, by me, Laura Figiel, a print and packaging designer in London.

Since I am continuously searching for new inspiration for ideas and designs to feed my creative hunger , Shedraws is a blog where I can not only log all my discoveries, but also share them for your use too. My discoveries could be anything from a vintage fashion to a hand painted piece and each one has a place within my heart.

Independent and handcrafted design also takes up most of my creative thinking as I love seeking and buying from independent designers, appreciating their hard work and intuitive ideas. My very own independent shop is currently on hold due to my designing day job (some of you might remember it), but that means in my free time I get the opportunity to go seek out markets and cool shops for me to still be part of the creative industry. I’d love to take more of an active part with the creative world so I am making a conscious effort to log any events I find and hear about and hopefully find the time to pop along to get involved. If  you are having an event or know of something special, drop me an email and I’ll try to include it on the blog.

Don’t forget to check out my Independent Highstreet section too. As much as we love those online stores we need to support the highstreet and so I am trying to compile lists of all of those creative independent stores within our highstreet that might be hidden away like an uncovered gem. I’m currently listing by region and as before, if you know of something special please contact me to let me know.
